Step 1: Pick Your Date

Most events take place on Saturday or Sunday.

We typically:
• Deliver and set up on Thursday or Friday
• Break down on Monday or Tuesday

Your tent rental is yours for the full weekend. Many clients make the most of it by:

• Hosting a rehearsal dinner or cookout the night before
• Planning a brunch the next morning
• Inviting friends over for casual drinks after the main event

Think of it as a weekend setup, not just a one day rental.

Step 2: Estimate Your Guest Count

You do not need an exact headcount right away.

We recommend planning to have all guests comfortably under the tent in case of rain. If your numbers change, we can often add an extra table or a few more chairs.

It does not have to be perfect. We are flexible.

Step 3: Choose Your Setup Location

Our tents are free standing frame tents.

That means they can:

• Be installed on grass, pavement, or patios
• Be positioned close to your home
• Fit into tighter backyard spaces

We just need:

• A completely flat, unobstructed area
• No patio furniture, shrubs, or obstacles where the tent will sit
• At least 18 feet of overhead clearance free of branches, limbs, or power lines

The tent is built directly on the ground, so the area must be clear before installation.

Step 4: Identify Underground Hazards

This part is important.

We secure tents using stakes that are driven approximately 3 feet into the ground. Before installation, we need to know about:

• Sprinkler lines
• Electrical lines
• Pool lines
• Septic systems
• Any underground utilities

If staking is not possible, we may be able to:

• Tie the tent off to a sturdy structure
• Use water barrel anchoring systems

Not sure what is underground? Call Dig Safe. It is free and easy.
